In a lot of games and movies when you saw a gay person the only thing people see is a flamboyant guy. Being gay obviously doesn't mean your flamboyant or cross dressing or acting feminine but for a long time that was 99% of our representation in media.
So my college has a really large lgbtq crowd…and I have nothing against gay people. When I held his hand during the prayer I started shaking…and when he spoke it kind of caught me off guard his mannerisms. I vibe well with masculine lesbians…like there was this tomboy lesbian skater girl at aa the other night I vibed well with but the aforementioned subgroup makes me uncomfortable for some reason.

The camp/"flamboyant" aesthetic has a long history in gay culture. Obviously you don't have to like it as a personal choice but like, is bitching about it gonna get you anywhere?.

On the phone he sounded almost stereotypical and it made me uncomfortable. I have had frequent discussions on this subject with a gay male friend of mine, and I find the topic interesting. Note: I am not, in actual fact, a gay man, although I do play one on TV.
